This session of Newfront Office Hours addresses the key ACA and CAA matters going forward, the potential Trump administration legislative and regulatory EB ambitions, expiration of the HSA telehealth relief, new MHPAEA and HIPAA reproductive health rules, fiduciary issues in light of the J&J case, and more!

10:00am-11:00am PT

Topics for Discussion

        • ACA employer mandate penalties continue to be enforced to a greater degree (and cost) than most H&W rules. We review the steps employers need to take to avoid them, along with the latest in ACA reporting with the recent changes to mandate electronic filing and remove the good faith standard.
        • The CAA is the most significant health care reform effort since the ACA. As we head into year five, we are finally at the point of full implementation. We review the new action items for fully insured and self-insured employers, including a new MHPAEA employer certification requirement.
        • The incoming Trump administration will look to make its mark across the spectrum of political issues, including EB. What can we expect both in terms of priorities and likelihood of achieving them? We review what employers should start considering now to prepare for these potential shifts.
        • So much else happened! From the end of the HSA relief for telehealth, the looming expiration of the student loan repayment assistance, IRA changes to the Medicare Part D landscape, the J&J class action putting ERISA fiduciary duties back in the spotlight, and new HIPAA reproductive health rules, we review the latest and greatest, always with an eye to the key action items for all employers.
